RecommendedThe best part of having my parents live at Oak Cottage of SB is how caring and compassionate every employee is. They understand dementia, as all residence have memory problems. The food is good, activities are engaging & employees take residents on outings. Highly recommend Oak Cottage for care.

Their Executive Director is truly committed to the residents and their families. I also love in particular their "Vibrant Life" activity program that encourages "being" adventurous, being connected, being well, etc." It is a great program.
We were in serious need of a healthy choice for my sister who suffered a rapid decline due to Alzheimer's disease. Andrea (Executive Director) and Oak Cottage staff answered the call. We could not be more satisfied. These folks really know what they are doing and how to do it. Our sister showed improvement immediately.

My mother has been at Oak Cottage for over a year. I love the homey atmosphere. There are animals and lots of activities. My mom can walk out of her house and there is her community. The staff genuinely cares about the residents. I went and visited a lot of places for my mother and this has been a great fit for her.. She is much calmer since she has been here. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I am the therapy dog evaluator for Santa Barbara. I bring my Daniel and Solomon to perform and soak up some lovin’ from the wonderful residents. The atmosphere is inviting and inclusive. The staff is cheerful and very involved. It does not “feel like a facility”..... because....it is Oak Cottage!!!
All of my interactions with Andrea Katz and key staff members at Oak Cottage have been very professional. I was well-informed on all aspects of occupancy and left with the sense that needs would be met and that I truly was cared about.
