Oak Alley is a mighty fine plantation.
This was a very unorganized event Buses take u back on forth from parking lot We has to stand in line for over 3o minutes to get a tide back We were initially told that we should catch bus E back to parking lot When we get in line we r told there is no E Hope we end up in the right place
My favorite plantation is oak alley. I stayed there a couple of times and loved it. I also attended a wedding under the oaks. Saturday, a friend and I made plans to travel from New Orleans to oak alley to attend the craft fair. I was looking forward to it, because the last time I went to the craft fair was eight years ago. Needless to say we were told there was no parking on the grounds and were given a terrible description on where to park. We finally found the parking area which was very muddy and 6 miles away. Oak Alley lived up to it's name without a doubt. The alley of oaks was breathtaking! These 300 yr+ old trees have such a presence it was so uplifting.. My soul felt them. Thank you for allowing us to experience this Plantation's history and magnificent trees!
