When calling to reschedule and the patient admits they are sick, please don’t ask 4,000 questions. You ask people to be there 30min before an MRI but then the MRI breaks and nobody tell you until you have waited an entire hour. You need to let people know when this happens. We can’t designate 2-3 hours for a 20 minute scan. Label the receptionist. There’s ten and you go to one and they point you to another one. Frustrating when waiting in line then they point to a kiosk or someone else. Wha is the point ?

I recently went to NYU Langone to have an MRCP scan done. They get 5 stars for the facility, new, clean, plenty of staff to check you in. This particular scan you get an iv for contrast during the scan. I give blood on a regular basis, I have blood work done for my cardiologist every six months, I never have a problem with them getting the needle in. The first tech took two stabs at it (literally) one in each arm, then she called in another tech who tried to get into a vein by my wrist to no avail. I told them after three fa... read more
