It's hard to find the words to express my gratitude to Dr. Appleton. My breastfeeding journey has been unexpected and incredibly difficult. I had a lot of anxiety, fear, and hopeless days feeling like I wasn't doing enough while torturing myself to do everything I could. As soon as I saw Dr. Appleton, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. She not only gave me answers and encouragement, but she gave me what I really didn't know I needed which was permission to feed my baby however I needed to without feeling guilty abou... read more
Dr. Appleton and her entire staff are the most caring, compassionate, and knowledgeble clinics we have been to with our son. From our first foot in the door we were made to feel welcome and our concerns were immediate addressed. If you are mad about wait time take it up with your MLA and Premier - the lack of funding is being intentionally done so that wait times get long and it can be used to excuse the introduction of private healthcare. Keep up the great work, your making a daily difference in the lives of local families.

I was left triple feeding for weeks and advised to “just keep going” despite my baby failing to gain weigh... read more

Wait times of up to EIGHT weeks when an infant is struggling are outrageous. Breastfeeding support needs to be timely to be effective. The delay in access means families are being left without help when they’re most vulnerable. The staff are excellent at when they do—but without faster availability, people are being forced to give up before they e... read more
There is something beautiful and sacred to be said about people who care for postpartum families in the way that Dr. A and her team do. Thank you for caring and supporting my little family as we found our way in our feeding journey. You honored where we were at in a way that felt safe and collaborative. It's not often in the healthcare realm that I feel as though I am treated as the expert when it comes to my health and wellbeing, and that of my children, but that is certainly how I feel when seeing the folks at NFFC. I beli... read more
