Nuclear power has proven to be the most expensive. And we are left with a waste product that is so dangerous, we have no place for it and it will not degrade significantly over centuries. The models of reactors have also proven to be unsafe and their damage is deadly for the planet and all life.

NIRS has done an enormous job during all the years it's existed. It's one of my favourite sources of information about the nuclear industry.

Whatever works is not more billion for dying nuclear power, but for truly renewable energy sources that are much cheaper and quicker to get operational.

I think this reactor posed a greater danger if real terrorist decided to attack it on 9/11 instead of the trade center buildings. This disaster was also poisoning the ecology of the Hudson River with heated water and radiation.
