we older citizens remember the atomic bombs and fukashima recently. we have fought to have the atomic waste not buried underground near the colorado river or near yuma. this would be worse as it distribute it all over the u.s. why do we not care for the health of ourselves and our kids???????

Awesome national organization which I have supported and depended on for factual information and No Nukes activism since the mid-70s! THANKS, NIRS!

If we don't get concerned about what actually happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we could see it again, and at this time the world disaster will be horrifying. This why NIRS has an important role in the social media, to keep us informed with regards to nuclear issues around the world.

IT HAS YES TO BEEN PROVEN, THAT NOBODY HAS A SAFE WAY OF DISPOSING OF NUCLEAR WASTE. SO WHY WOULD ANYBODY WANT TO PROMOTE THE USE OF NUCLEAR MATERIALS, EXCEPT INSANE AND GREEDY INVESTORS IN SUCH THINGS? IF THE MASS OF PEOPLE DON'T SHUT THIS DOWN THEY AND THEIR OFFSPRING WILL SUFFER DEEPLY. THERE WILL BE NO WAY TO STOP THIS INSANITY IF WE, ALL, DON'T ACT NOW !!!

We have to protect the planet against dirty energy. This is our home for goodness sake.

We must think in terms of seven generations out. We see how climate change is affecting our planet already - more hurricanes because of warmer waters, more wildfires because of less rain, etc. We d not need subsidies for coal, gas, and nuclear energy. We need CLEAN ENERGY!!!
