I was taken here via ambulance and felt that I received good care. I’m from out of state and felt the care was better than the ERs I experienced in my home state. The medical professionals were attentive, caring, and had a good sense of humor. Made me feel much better and was discharged within a few hours. I thank you all for your hard work.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this emergency hospital. The place is not clean, there isn’t enough room space for patients, and they clearly don’t have enough doctors to handle emergencies properly. One time I went there with a head wound that was open about 2 inches. I was left waiting almost 30 minutes before I finally had to ask the nurse why no doctor was coming to see me. I’ve been in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. There is next to no one here. Usually, I go to Fair Oaks, and I should’ve done so this time as well. If you’re ever wondering if you should come here or any of the other emergency rooms in NOVA, choose any other one.

As a 33 year old female who is terrified of doctors after years of gaslighting and possibly medical malpractice, I came here because of ongoing sciatica nerve pain, they ran the basic tests and discerned that it isn't life threatening just needs proper treatment to recover and reduce flair ups. The staff were very supportive and gave me hope that some doctors still uphold their oaths to save lives first. Thank you, UVA, for years of quality healthcare.
