I'm new to the state and trying to find a family care provider for my son and I. What a horrible experience with UVA and all before you can even get in the door... My family had a terrible experience with Dr. Kazmi. After completing a physical with her, we never received any follow-up regarding bloodwork results. More concerningly, she prescribed the wrong medication—something we only discovered after taking the initiative to research it. I love Dr Chambers and his bedside manner, the only reason they dont get 5 stars is the hold time to make an appt or to speak with a human. I've started using the mychart app at the exact same time i call. Ive already made an appt and confirmed it on the app before a human answers. Other than that, front desk staff could be more welcoming, but im going there for medical and the medical team is GREAT. Dr. Kazmi and nurse Lali are truly wonderful. The best PCP experience I’ve ever had. My only feedback is that sometimes it can be tough getting a hold of the front desk to schedule an appt. Sometimes they don’t answer or the line is busy.
Dr. Halyard is the most amazing doctor I've had in my entire life. Before she was hired at Bull Run Family Medicine, my previous 2 doctors were all right, but not entirely the best nor incredibly insightful, or sympathetic towards my chronic illnesses and the myriad of issues I have.
