The emergency room is run very poorly. Their protocol is to evaluate patients as the enter and then make them comfortable and prioritize. my daughter entered with excruciating pain from a kidney stone. They let her sit in the waiting room for 1.5 hours vomiting, crying and in tons of pain. Once I got to her I demanded they help her and it still took another 15 minutes to get her back and on a bed in the hall (with a dirty sheet). Then another 15 minutes to get her some pain meds. On Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, my daughter and I arrived at Novant Health Huntersville ER at 10:08 AM. My daughter was experiencing upper stomach pain. She could not sleep or eat because of it. The waiting area and Triage are RIDICULOUS !!! Different nurses continually called the same person's name to complete the same "check in" procedures - blood work, weight, etc. The woman, shoulder length reddish color hair with glasses, in charge of "customer service" has NO BUSINESS interacting with the public. Terrible service! In 2011 my dad went in the hospital. They did a MRI and found I mass on his liver! So they wanted to do a biopsy! Dad told me he didn’t want a biopsy! So I go and tell the nurses that and they said he will be ok! Only being off blood thinner for 2 days!The nurses asked me why he didn’t want one and I told them dad said he didn’t want to bleed to death! Do not go here if you or your loved one is sick, they are killing ppl off and do not care!! , My wife's grandmother just passed away because of them not feeding her for days threw a tube. We will be taking out a lawsuit!!!

Zero stars is actually more appropriate for this horrendous place. Simply stated, if you have ANY other options for your healthcare needs (of any kind) I would highly recommend you explore those options instead of utilizing Novant Health. I had to be seen due to extreme pain I was experiencing, which ultimately turned out to be a kidney stone, however, their service, the patient care and then the billing were all atrocious. The scheduling staff are incompetent! I have been trying to schedule an MRI of my knee for 6 days now. I have called every day, left messages and left number for a , return call( so I would keep my place in line). I have had not one return call!!! I have a referral from my ortho doctor, still no call to be put on schedule. I hate this facility and would advise to go else where if possible. I would not even give them one star if I didn't have to in order to submit this review.
