Dr James Meek changed my life! I never thought I would be reviewing a doctor, but the world needs to know this. Dr Meek has been my OB/GYN since 2003 and delivered both of my boys (2004 & 2006). I never had a primary doctor and just always saw Dr Meek every year. This year he suggested a Glp-1 since I was 251 pounds at my weigh in Feb 2025. Today (June 6th) I am down 30 pounds!!! I have recurrent pregnancy loss and a high risk pregnancy. When I called this clinic with a request for confirmation of pregnancy so I could make a plan with my doctor, my doctor said I couldn’t come in until 10 weeks since I conceived with medicine prescribed by a reproductive clinic. I can’t believe an established patient with the history I have is being turned away from an appointment request when she’s pregnant. With her own doctor.
I came in for a confirmation of pregnancy appointment and I thought I started miscarrying the night before. My insurance covers maternity 100% and they coded this as a normal visit because I “wasn’t pregnant” and now I’m saddled with a copay. My insurance has said they’ve billed this improperly but they won’t change it. So not only do I get to experience a miscarriage, but I get to chase billing down to do their jobs. Really disappointed with my experience here.
