Exceptional Service – The other night my wife, and another couple decided to eat out at Not your average Joe's. I wasn't sure, It wasn't my pick although the ladies get what they want. We were seated and greeted by our server "Ella" she was very courteous and knowledgeable. Our food was relatively quick and any time we needed anything she was right on top of it. Everything was very pleasant, the food was exceptional and our drinks were perfect. Overall it was a real nice experience, we will be coming back, Thanks

Bland, boring, and uninspired – We live nearby, and have been exploring Newburyport's restaurant scene. We decided to try Joe's one evening, and initially were excited. There are lots of interesting sounding dishes on the menu. Then reality set in as I saw a nearby family's main courses taken back for re-preparation because they weren't satisfactory. One dish's beef tips were well prepared, but the accompanying green beans were barely cooked (almost raw) and very tough. The other vegetable (zucchini & squash) had been lightl... read more

Awful food – The veggie burger was awful. They only served a few fries on the side. The Cobb Salad was small and uninspiring. A boring salad for $12! Seems like they are cutting back on costs because everything, including the veggies burger, was small. And $15 for macaroni & cheese? I have eaten at Joe's before and liked it but this time I concluded it just isn't worth it for the price.

Good food, nice athmosphere - terrible service!! – Ate there for lunch on 3/20/10. Mediteranean chicken and clam chowder were not bad, waitress was terrible. So much so that we didn't leave a tip and had to write a comment on the card. She just short of ignored our repeated requests for the check, rolled her eyes when my asked for water and did not bother to ask how the meal was. This is unusual for this chain as at other locations service has been fine and usually a manager asks how everything is going Maybe this was a rogu... read more

great time – recently went here and got to experience a great night out. The bread to start was so tasty we were asking for more! Fantastic apps and wonderful meal. All and all, you can't go wrong picking anything here!! One great thing, they put dates and directions on how to re-heat their food. Wonderful service!

The Best Pizza – The pizza here is not your average pizza. If you want to taste to great italian pizza, this restaurant is where you want to go. Generous portion and well cooked. The staff was really pleasant and very accomodating. I did not find them slow at all. The wait wasn't too long, pretty much the same standard as other establishments. Not to mention, the scenery is beautiful especially in the summer. I really enjoyed my dinner here and would recommend this eatery. I will definitely go back again for my pizza craving... read more

The focacia bread served with olive oil, garlic and cheese is delicious. – This restaurant serves a variety of American dishes with a twist, plated well, and are at only slightly-higher-than-diner prices. Must tries include freshly made Cobb Salad (with mixed greens, tender chicken, and grilled corn kernels), Fried Calamari, and Chicken Oscar (with scallops and al dente rice). Their pastas are just OK. Dessert choices could be improved with a chocolate cake. The monthly specials keep the entrees and sides changed enough that... read more

Way Above Average – It was a busy Memorial Day weekend, and with in the Indiana Jones debuting right next door I thought grabbing a bite at "Not Your Average Joes" in Methuen might leave of a bad taste in my mouth. We requested to sit outside, it was overcasts, with the chance of showers, but we gave it a shot anyway. On the patio we enjoyed a few drinks with appetizers ,then the rain came. The resturaunt crew instantly moved us with our drinks inside to a good location with no fuss or confusion. If other resturaunts are loo... read more

Love the bread! – Every once in a while its nice to have a menu change! BUT other than that, this place is cool, literally, its always cold in there. The waitstaff are usually very nice. Sometimes slow but nice. The menu has been the same for years but it always taste good! Great for the whole family! Definately make reservations if you can...
