Edit: March 2025: Added ButterflyMX, a smart, cloud-based property access control system, allowing residents and property managers to manage and grant access to buildings, gates, elevators, and package rooms from smartphones or other devices. Pretty handy, especially you can unlock the main doors with an app that is not laggy or buggy. Great addition to the community. This place has been very pleasant. Great area within quick walk of center. You have a trade joes with a mile one way and Whole Foods with half a mile the other way. There’s a nice park right next to the building. They have a nice loading dock for move in with a decent sized elevator to fit king size mattresses. We’ve lived in rural areas most our lives and actually feel safer moving to the city. We've had several negative experiences living in this building. Within the past year, we've had 2 of our packages stolen when it got delivered to the front desk. Since then they've building has introduced a mandatory $15 fee on your rent to use a freight forwarder called Fetch. Front desk doesn't take responsibility for your mail. Not sure what the purpose is of living in a doorman building if they don't accept your packages. A few months ago my partner's bike got stolen from the bike room. I lived in the North building for three years and I had a great experience overall. I would rent again if I come back to Philadelphia. Below is a detailed assessment: Pros Fire Safety: The fire alarm system is reliable, activating only for actual emergencies, unlike other buildings with frequent false alarms.
