Extremely disappointed with Northwestern Mutual — I feel very misled. I was sold a universal life insurance policy that was presented to me as a way to build wealth and take advantage of market growth. What they didn't tell me was that the growth in the policy was capped at 12%, the market did almost double that this last year. Which means I'm effectively missing out. Horrible experience with Laura Ramos and or Laura Pool out of the Houston Texas office. She did a no call no show on our appointment. She also has this deceiving behavior of being humble and tries to have a micromanage approach to things in her best interest. I 100% do not recommend. She initiated personal insults towards my family situation, after telling her in a financial planning meeting. I don’t know why this company would have her.I am glad she did not show up to the call. "Friends" make horrible advisors... Stay away, their service lacks any semblance of genuine care or concern.
Run, don’t walk away. $1500 for a generic plan. Charged a monthly fee to remind me. They’re trying to sell you insurance. Please do your research before signing any contracts. There are TONS of Reddit articles about it.
