Amen for Dr.Wagner. My symptoms started with sleeping alot then within a week not being able to walk or talk. I was rushed into er for mri and then admitted. Dr.wagner ended up being the dr whose care i was under. I has a brain virus extremely rare and he made sure to explain everything and how the next 3-6 months would be. Follow up and staff were also awesome.
Very thorough and helped our family with some very difficult dementia issues.
We saw Dr Wagner after an emergency room visit for my daughter having extreme head pain. I found Dr. Wagner to be supremely competent and his diagnostic spot on. He gave us options and trials of prescriptions, one which worked. When the one that did work was not covered by insurance, he helped us find an alternative. I believe those who left a review suggesting he's not good because he referred them on are bogus. If a Dr. didn't field qualified to diagnose, that is extremely professional.
It seems that neuropathy is not one of his specialties. His office testing equipment was in poor condition. He basically has no real personality and often you cannot get real good answers to any questions. His staff is very nice but often seem distracted. His top method of treating pain is opioids.
I had a list of 7 individual neurological concerns that I shared with Dr. Wagner. He did a very basic exam, offered an explanation for 2 issues. The rest told me he didn't know what the cause might be and that he would have to refer me on. These concerns were not outside the realm of neurology—numbness and tingling in the fingers, a muscle spasm in my tongue, etc.—so it doesn't really stand to reason that I should need to see anyone besides a neurologist for definitive neurological issues.
Waited forever to see him. Brought tons of records and basically no games plan by doctor. Put me on anti depressant for pain and when I complained pain was worse, no comment from dr. Not a very good dr. Didn't care, avoided answering questions, no follow up Needless to say looking for different neurologist, he is mediocre at best.
He takes a personal interest in me and my care.
Said nothing. Looked at my chart and just said go to a specialty clinic.
He has helped me with difficult-to-treat epilepsy and atypical trigeminal neuralgia, where others have failed. I feel better since going to Dr. Wagner, and I trust his decisions.
