Northville downs should have live racing all year round.a lot better chance of winning then the casino, and funner!!
Just wondering where all those big throughbred crowds where when pinnacle was open. Blue collar state, this aint kentucky.
Northville's web site reads "Celebrating 100 Years of Racing in Northville". Harness racing made that happen...and now Northville is trying to do away with live harness racing.
Thoroughbreds are back in the city. Its been along hard struggle for thoroughbred owners, breeders, and trainers. TB'S will draw in bigger crowds. Thoroughbred simulcast produces much more revenue than standardbeds.
Daniel Boik, I hope you're right about the TB's bringing more crowds and money to Northville but I am curious as to why they think there will even be any horses entered. I attended Mt. Pleasant several times last year to watch Dokey's horses and there were numerous races with only 4-5 horses so betting was pretty slow and boring. It may or may not work at HP where they have a history and it will be warmer but NV in late Oct doesn't seem optimal to race the TB's. Time will tell I suppose.
Northville Downs has a 4.2 star rating with 832 reviews.
Northville Downs is open now. It will close at 12:00 p.m.
