It was a wonderful place to deliver our baby. The nurses and staff were so kind & sweet amidst all of the chaos. Highly recommend the labor and delivery division! Also had a great Gluten free menu for me as I recovered from my C-Section. Made sure to educate me about every decision as a new mom too. Thanks Northside!
Northside Hospital refused to perform my fully Medicare-covered surgery until I paid a months-delayed bill from March that hadn't even arrived in the mail yet. Holding a necessary medical procedure hostage over their own administrative delay forced my son to scramble through old insurance portals just to resolve it. Weaponizing a late bill to bully and coerce a patient right before surgery shows a complete lack of compassion.
Came in for my pre op assessment. The construction is off the hook and the instructions are non existent. Go to the main enterance they said. Go to the third floor. You are in the wrong building. Go over here. Go over there. When I finally made it to the office I was a few minutes late. “I’m so sorry” ? No…””you weren’t here at your appt time” so I went to the back of the line and I am still sitting here an hour later. Customer service sucks….
The three stars are for everyone at Northside beside the billing department. Every hospital, doctors office, customer service associate, nurse, and anyone you can see or talk to are great! But, the people running the billing/technical/information department(s) are from a distant planet. There is no way the C Suite people are unaware of this and yet it remains true. Seems likely that there is significant profit opportunity within the purposeful quagmire on the finance side.
I was there for a week and a half post PAO surgery. I was left in my own stuff for over 30 minutes over 10 times. I was regularly delayed in getting my pain medication. One of the nurses intentionally blew my IV because she was mad at me.
