Got an estimate pretty quick after reaching out, the person who came was forward about what the floors needed and didn't try to upsell extra stuff. During the actual work they kept things organized and moved from room to room efficiently, end result looks clean the wood grain really pops now with the new finish, satisfied with how the whole thing went.
NorthernMax refinished the original oak floors in our 1940s colonial in Winnetka and the thing that gets me is how to wood around the bay window turned out. That section had been under a radiator cover for decades and the color difference was stark before. After sanding and finishing it all reads as one continuous floor now.
