A great Taekwondo School , Grand Master Barron is a fantastic mentor one who helps you out to achieve your goals whether it’s fitness , learning the foundations of martial arts or just being there for you as a teacher . Although I haven’t been able to return due to a new journey embarking into the military very soon I won’t ever forget the atmosphere at NEMAA because it helped shaped me to who I am now before I leave to serve our country. Seventeen years ago, I began my training at the Northeastern Martial Arts Academy under (now) Grand Master Mitchell Barron and his amazing team of instructors for 13 years. If life hadn't gotten in the way, I would still be training there. The physical training, life lessons, and relationships that I have developed from training here have shaped me into the man I am today. I pray that when the day comes for my kids to start studying martial arts, I can find a school that's even half as good as NEMAA.
I've trained with Grandmaster Barron for most of my life and it has changed me in unbelievable ways. If you decide to train here you will find incredible teachers that will guide you in self defense, discipline, and self confidence. But besides that you'll find a family that will push you to be the best that you can be. I can't recommend NEMAA enough to anyone that has even remotely considered martial arts.
I've been training at Northeastern Martial Arts Academy for 10+ years! Grand Master Barron is a great teacher, has a lot of patience and so much knowledge to share with his students. I am a 2nd degree black belt currently working towards my 3rd... and I'm in my 50s! So many adults think taekwondo is only for kids, well, myself and several other adults would disagree! It's great exercise and keeps your mind young! I'm going to stick with it until my body tells me to stop!
I have known GM Barron from the first day he entered our dojang to begin his TKD training....way back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth (LOL). You would be hard pressed to find someone more dedicated to the training and well being of his students. I have visited NEMAA on several occasions, always to find a happy, dedicated, and hard working group of students which comes from the type and level of instruction being given. I highly recommend NEMAA to anyone having an interest in the martial arts.
I started with NEMAA many years ago (1985) and earned my back belt in 1989. As teenager I learned discipline and self confidence and so many other skills that helped prepare me for the future. I eventually stopped training when I left for college.I always missed the trainings and said one day I would get back to it.
