We felt at home! I called and got an appt for the next day. All the questions I asked were answered and they treated me like family. There was no rush in the appt. The most important thing was that they helped me find an alternative for my dogs tumor other than removing the limb. They are a God send since she has been our life for a long time. Animal lovers are friends of mine I personally love N.W.V.H their always their for us when we need them even when I have a question or not sure about something. I've been going to N.W.V.H for more then 10yrs. I myself have a heart for animal and can see that they do as well its not just a job for them but their heart's are into it. Dr.John is straight up and to the point he will not steer you wrong trust me your animals are in good hands with them, I haven't been dealing with them this long for no reason.

Oak Harbor's Best Veterinary Hospital My sister and I worked with NWVH on a project to spay and neuter the feral cats that live around our homes. The doctors and staff were extremely flexible and prompt with accomodating our unexpected live trap encounters with the kitties. While their hospital is not as fancy as the one up the highway, the people at this veterinary hospital do show a great deal of compassion and care toward animals. Thanks to a great Oak Harbor Vet and thanks to Holly for being so patient and kind.
Great Service, Wonderful Staff and Caring about my animals I have been going to North Whidbey for 5 years now. Dr. John is great, straight forward and will tell you like it is. Some do not like this and want to be coddled.. Dr. John has told me what needs to be done with my dogs and cats as well as what would be a waste of my time and energy. Dr. Iverson is so kind and caring, listens to any concerns I have ever had.. And Holly is great as well! They have a faithful customer for long time coming... Thanks!!

Good vet; not so good customer service I rescued my puppy at 5 weeks of age and within one day of getting him, I had to take him to the vet. He was very ill and had to be seen several days in a row and then required treatment and multiple tests each week. Every time I went in, the staff did not know me and they did not know my dog. I had been there so many times that I found it strange that the same two staff members couldn't remember me or even my dog at all. They seem very cold and uncaring. A great local vet option! I've used this office literally for decades. I always have received compassionate yet straightforward care and advice from both vet doctors, and the current office staff is very helpful, too. Yes, it is less fancy and also less expensive than other local options. My animals cannot tell the difference in that regard, and I much prefer this option.
Zeus Dr. John is awesome. We had a disagreement many years ago, but "I" overcame it and he saved my dog. When other vet's had no idea what was wrong with Zeus, Dr. John knew right off. He took steps to diagnose Zeus, diagnosed him correctly and corrected the problem with compassion, caring and a minimal charge. Although Zeus' spine was extremely damaged and he made us no promises on the dog's outcome - the outcome was awesome.
