I requested an independent consultation from Dr. Shapira and I received what would be better called an educational lecture with demonstrations. The consultation was $300 and 90 minutes long. Before treatment, my TMJ and facial pain was so bad that it would hurt to talk or even chew food. With Dr Shapira’s treatment and guidance, I have found freedom from my facial & jaw pain. I usually go to his clinic at Highland park which is always spotless & they take extra precautions during covid times. His staff there is super nice and very helpful.
This is hands down the best dentist I have ever found. He is the only doctor to have persuaded me against getting jaw surgery and the only one who could offer a better, gentler alternative. I'm docking a star because the office staff are not the best at getting back to patients.
We did a DNA appliance to expand my upper palate, then he put a bridge in new spaces. Everything looks very natural and not too perfect looking.
Dr Shapira is a world class TMJ and Myofascial pain expert. Before treatment, my TMJ and facial pain was so bad that it would hurt to talk or even chew food.
