Just completed a 2 night stay for some minor surgery. I cannot say enough wonderful things about all of the doctors and nurses who took care of me on Davenport 7. Thank you all so much!
What the heck happened to this place? It used to be such a GO TO kind of hospital. Now I drive right past it and go to Beverly Hospital, and I live only half a mile from NSMC. Rude doctors, uncaring staff, and just unkept. I understand the undesirables from the surrounding areas go here faking sick and hoping to score on pills to get high on. But seriously there is no need to take it out on people who are really hurting with illness. This place needs a serious enema and renovation job.

I feel and broke my foot last week, winding up at NSMC ED. I was greeted by captain compassion (note the sarcasm) and then brought to the billing office before I received any pain medication for my obviously deformed foot. Then I was given oral pain medication, which takes 30-60 minutes to start to work, followed an hour later by two IM shots of pain medication. It took nearly 3 hours after my fall to get any pain relief. They need some serious pain education and the triage nurse needs a compassion pill. The only thing that ... read more

Terrible. Shame on you for having your parking lots looking like they do. Every other business ive seen today was plowed better than here. The ramp from radiology to the ER isnt even plowed. This hospital gets more terrible each day!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't say enough about Salem Hospital. The care is the best. The staff is attentive and Dr. Katcher as the best.
Great place to work. Loved all my colleges. Your the best guys!
