I have had to rush two of my dogs to North Idaho Animal hospital in the past. One was just recently when my mini Aussie was having an extreme panic anxiety attack and was hyperventaliating and her tongue turned blue. They took her right in tended to her immediately and put her on oxygen. They gave her meds to calm her down and bring down her blood pressure. North Idaho Animal Hospital is the only clinic in Sandpoint that is willing to work with American Heritage Wildlife Foundation. They have the permits from the USFWS to examine the migratory bird species. Dr. Mehra and Dr. Pierce are the primary doctors with the passion and knowledge of wild animals. My cat has seen three vets there and they were all excellent, compassionate, and patient. They squeeze us in when needed, always follow up with a phone call, and all of the techs and front desk people are amazing as well!
Great experience. Whole staff was wonderful. Still in process of treating kitty however they have been very understanding & helpful with costs. Definetly will be my new vet.
We have been going there the past 3 years and have had a variety of dog and cat emergencies, routine care, and boarding taken care of here.The Doctors and Staff are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. A winning combination! A big shout out to Allison, Haley, Dr. Ness, Dr. Hallack, AND ALL Dr’s and Staff that have helped our furry family members over the years. ��������
