On March 31st, I had an epidural injection scheduled. On March 30th, I received a call from Wanda, the receptionist, informing me that my appointment was being canceled because the procedure had not been approved. After contacting our insurance company, we learned that the staff at the Spine & Pain clinic had only submitted the authorization request late Friday at the end of their workday. If they find out that you have health insurance it's the billings department christmas. Ask for without insurance quote. Might be much cheaper

I’m very disappointed with the experience at Wellstar North Fulton Spine & Pain Center. We called ahead to understand pricing and were given one estimate, but when we arrived the cost was significantly higher because of how insurance was handled. That was not clearly explained beforehand. On top of that, the communication from staff felt rushed and unhelpful when we tried to get clarification. For a medical office, transparency and patient communication should be a priority, and this experience did not reflect that. I would ... read more
