I sat in the ER for 5 hr. with out 1 person to check on me. At 8am they already had a room for me but i sat there for another 4 hours before I was finally taken to my room. I have been in my room now for a hr and still no meds or IV. I could have stayed home and had much better treatment. While I was in the ER I finally talked to someone in charge, she went to talk to the people at the desk and the girls behind the desk made a comment and they started to joke about it. Sent my mom home in a day in no condition to go home. Had an infection in her bone and couldn’t walk and you sent her home. Had to have ems come out to the house and requested another hospital. I DO NOT recommend this hospital

My family had a good experience at this medical center in Gainesville, FL. My mom was part of their new blood cancer program, I believe she was their first patient going through it at this hospital. I was not there. My mom and dad were there and stayed in the hospital room for two weeks. Nurses and doctors taking care of them were very helpful, patient, supportive, and welcoming. Only complaint was the food. The chicken was uneatable, not even my dad would eat (He eats anything hahaha). But yes, the food was decent, just not... read more
