I saw someone at this practice for five years. She told me my labs weren’t “that bad” every time I went in even enough I had de habilitating symptoms. Every time we ran my labs (4-5 times per year because I am auto immune ) I would have to make her go like by line, and she’d fight me on it saying she “didn’t do that with patients” which is absurd! Attended via zoom Nov 13, 2024 GMV on Styles of Fasting by Dr. Akey. I found it crammed with helpful and motivating information, way beyond my expectations for this class! My only complaint is there was so much I needed to remember that I wish I could watch a rerun. Dr. Akey really has the "big picture" for healthful living. So glad these groups are available since limits on routine office visits can not give you this depth of understanding for the "why" you should do the "what" that they recommend. Very motivated!!
I have been satisfied with this practice, and pleased with Dawn Brown, who I have been seeing for a few years. HOWEVER, I was distressed, disappointed, and displeased to hear Dr Akey coming out as opposed to Amendment 4. I probably won't be going back ☹️
I seen Shawna Doran here in 2022 and she sent me in for a Brain MRI and the report was normal. Her response was "okay would you just like a handi-cap sticker". Absolutely not! I just wanted to be normal. She wouldn't proceed with any further testing. So far, I have found out I had Lyme Disease (this clinic specializes in this and didn't even recognize that!)
