We recently moved to Charlotte from Chicago. I noticed a few bald spots on my 8 yo Daughters head so I immediately made an appointment. This was the closest Pediatrician to us and they were able to get her in. I was grateful. We saw the Nurse Practitioner. She informed me that it was Alopecia. She said that we would get a referral for a Dermatologist within 3 days. That was on JANUARY 8th!! It is now the 22nd and we have not gotten a referral. I should really give them a 1 star only because the front desk seems to always mess up my kids doctors appointment. This is no the first time, its more like the 5 time and it happen today. Schedule an appointment for the 6 of June came in and they said it was schedule for the 5 of June. They she ask if they had call to confirm her appointments and i told her yes they said the 6 because thats the day i pick. To many patients at a time. My son had an appt at 1030. We didn't get seen until after noon. Don't think we'll be returning
My kids ages 4-17 have been going to North Charlotte Peds since 10/2004 (12 years). Ever since we met Dr.S as we call him, he's been nothing but the best!!! He's like family to us. Very friendly with the kids, jokes with them,etc. We talk about anything, he gives his advice, suggestions, etc. Even if i have an issue he counsels me. After hours I can reach him personally for any illness with my kids that may arise unexpectedly. I have been bringing my children to see Dr. Steve since we moved to Charlotte 6 years ago. I couldn't have gotten a better Doctor for my kids. My son is now 9 and my daughter is now 5 and they love him too. He is awesome. So is his staff. They are loving and caring and always listen. Dr. Steve always is on top of everything for my children and he takes his time and is very personable. I love Dr. Sewanyana and Dr. Kristin. I love the fact that they are open on most Saturdays and that you can still get in touch with the both of them after business hours. Both doctors are very active with the children that are being seen. My only dislike is the wait time. If my appointment is at 430 I should be seen by 445 being that I was 15mins early.
