When I moved out they charged my wife and me $1,440 and deducted $500 from our security deposit even though we did not damage the apartment in any way, shape, or form. We were completely shocked because we had left the apartment in excellent condition. The worst I have ever done to an apartment is hang a painting. Norris & Stevens raises rent and utilities at lease end regardless of market prices. When deciding whether to extend my lease or look for another apartment, I checked their ad on Craigslist and Zillow. Sure enough the exact same apartment as mine was being advertised at the exact same price I was paying. The lease renewal I received was for $45 a month more as they had also increased the water/sewage by $15!!!
