The Mustard Seed was started in 1978 in Missoula, Montana by a group of friends and family. Included in that group were Betty and Nancy Tokumoto and Betty's husband, David Hall, who still is active in the company today. Betty and Nancy grew up in Okinawa, Bangkok, and Hawaii and attended college in Oregon, so they have the unique ability of blending the cooking styles of the Far East with the tastes of the Pacific Northwest. Good food.
We have been regular customers since this location opened. Not ONCE have we had any issues with food or service here. Actually, it's been quite the opposite: Great food, great service. Ignore the poor reviews by one person and her friend and enjoy this establishment. (PS: If you've received the incorrect order 15 times, it probably IS the way you're ordering it! Plus, having your friend follow up with a poor review lacks class) Love the staff here. Love the food. 'Nuff said.
This place has horrible customer service. They make you wait to place order tell there done chitchatting with friends or other staff and then when you give them your order they never get it right even if it’s a simple one. I can see messing a order up a couple times but not every time especially when they read it back to you. If they have a personal issue you leave it at the door or have the other staff help them this is a place of business! I LOVE this place. I used to LOVE Mustard Seed but they are overpriced and funny servings now. The only thing I every get is Shrimp Osaka Rice Bowl. I'm obsessed with the Ginger sauce and the Osaka sauce. I could just drink them. I love the green salad with ginger dressing too. The egg rolls are very good. I don't get out this direction very often or I might try something different lol I have never had a problem with service maybe people should check their own attitude.
