VERY DISAPPOINTING, Tourist Trap! – We have eaten in the Atlanta Emerils and had a wonderful experience. So when we found out we were going to Orlando for a cheerleading competition I immediatly made a resveration at Emerils Orlando. The experience was nothing like our Atlanta one. They treat you like GOLD! – Got to dine at Nola for my birthday last week. I made a reservation 3 weeks ago but since it was Mardi gras we wanted to eat at the bar.The host were so wonderful when we walked in the door.They knew it was my bithdat and took me arm in arm to the bar.The bartender..TOM was a dream..HE MADE THE best COCKTAILS AND DINNER AT THE BAR WAS ALOT OF FUN. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! – I ate here this past weekend when I was in town with my fiancee his employee and his wife for a convention. Not only did we all have stomach aches after we ate here but I was sick all night and haven't been that sick in a long time!! Not only was I sick but the food was absolutly horrible! My duck was fatty and raw! You would think that with Emeril having such a reputation for himself that he would check on his restaurants!
Good food and service but steaks not cooked to order and problem not corrected... – First of all, we went at lunch time when it wasn't busy at all (there were only 2 tables occupied - ours being one of them). Better in person than on television – I was stoked about coming to Emeril's restaurant! I knew I wouldn't get to see him personally, but it was all about the food I watch him prepare on television. I saw so much I wanted to try on the menu, that I went back twice! The first time, we had two appetizers, split an entree, and split a desert. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – The service was not attentive. We were passed over for the bread service serveral times. Water was only refilled once. The tomatoe salad was soggy and the cream spanich was so salty it was not edible. The steak was charred and arrive warm. My husband was not offered a refill on his wine. This was certainly not the BAM expericence i was seeking. Emeril this place needs work.
This restaurant is hard to find? if you self-park?which I won?t recommend. Literally walking 10 miles before passing through what seemed like an eternity clad banquet or hallway; we finally made it to the entrance of the place. For the price, there are so many other better places – We went to Delmonico's with a group of friends. One of the gals recommended the place and made the reservations. The table we sat at was not very comfortable and the ambiance was not impressive. I ordered the filet mignon which wasn't the quality I expected for being a steakhouse. The sides were really good. But for the price and quality of food, there are plenty of other places to have a really good steak.
Great overall restaurant, worth the money – The biggest thing I have to say about Delmonico is to go for the New Orleans influenced dishes that you would expect from Emeril and you won't be disappointed. The basic steak is pretty good but probably not up to par with the prices (in my opinion) - go for the flavors and fantastic preparation of the barbecue shrimp, gumbo, foie gras, etc. and look for some of the steak specials with more cajun/creole influences in the preparation.
