About this business

At NOLA, owned by famed chef Emeril Lagasse is all about creating the best patron experience possible. This means that the service, decor and most importantly, the food, most all work off of each other. NOLA accomplishes this and more, with a beautifully decorated dining area complemented by impeccable service and a diverse offering of seafood dishes. NOLA is short for New Orleans, and is an appropriate moniker as this restaurant nicely captures the essence of the Big Easy.

not worth waiting – went to nola with my family. it was crowded and the wait was long. when we finally sat down and ate. the food was decent but not worth the money. was very disappointed. i have eaten at emerils other restaurants and those were all very good. i don't know what happen here.

The world on one plate – It's tough to impress New Yorkers, but Nola beat all expectations... food, style, but most of all, service. Waiters Ray, Jermaine and Frank made for a well-coordinated and disarmingly engaging team, anticipating your every need (even ones you hadn't thought of yet). The food represented what the United Nations could only hope to be -- a world of flavors from every region, often combined on one plate, that work surprisingly well together achieving perfect harmony in your mouth. Yum!

You owe it to yourself. – This is not Emeril's best restaurant in N.O. (Delmonico), but you do owe it to yourself to try it. The service is great! The food is very creative and delicious. Everything from asian influenced dishes to stuffed chicken wings. It is all very big on flavor. The restaurant can be loud, busy, and at the same time charming. Treat yourself for a late lunch. When you go for dinner, it seems as though you should have chosen Delmonico or Bayona from the way the host staff treats you. The seem to think it i... read more

Best New Orleans Has to Offer! – This restaurant is fantastic. The food, delivered by an amazing waitstaff, was delicious. I practically floated out of this restaurant! I had the mahi-mahi, which was delicious followed by a sampler of every desert on the menu. Caution, however: 6 month waiting list for reservations!!!

Skip This Place – Highly overrated. The ambiance is marginal. The tables are too close together. The food is very expensive for the quality. The service is exceptional. I would not go there again if you bought me dinner.

One of the best dining experiences ever – A family friend recommended this and I had a lowered expectation walking in thinking it may just try to cash in on the Emeril brand without bringing all of the quality it could. I could not have been more wrong. I had the most amazing crab cake appetizer and an unbelievable duck entree that was balance of sweet and spicy. My friend had the lamb and I almost had to wrestle him to the ground to try it because it was so good. This was New Orleans at its best.

Not what I thought – I'm a fan of Emeril's, however, I did not think Nola lived up to the raves it has received. The service was fine, we were seated promptly, water glass was always filled. I was disappointed in the $48 taster's dinner-soft shell crab had too much batter, but the filet was excellent. The crepe dessert had a delicious pistachio sauce but the crepe was like rubber. The meat/shrimp/pasta dish didn't work too well. Not the best I've had N.O.

Very good food – I was a bit skeptical to dine at one of Emeril's restaurants while I was in town, but the food here lives up to his reputation. Everything was delicious, from the crawfish risotto to the grilled asparagus. The service was very attentive and friendly too.
