About this business

Noble Fish does double duty as a grocery store in the front and one of Clawson's favorite sushi bars in the back. Noble Fish is famous for having the best quality, best value sushi around which includes most traditional favorites like rolls, nigiri, hand rolls, and a good selection of Noble Fish's own special rolls. The restaurant is quite small but cozy, and Noble Fish sells over 30 different types of ready-to-go sushi boxes. YUM – I've been going here for my sushi since moving here for college, used to drive up from Detroit just to get it. Fish is always top notch, no worries here. Great selection at the sushi bar and the grocery is well stocked with Japanese products. Definitely the best sushi joint in the metro area

It's the bomb !! – Can't go wrong with this one. Worth the wait , and the miso gets you open while you wait. You just have to get there on time. Cause when the "hunger" hits late , you out of luck to.

Want Sushi- don't go anywere else but here. – I have been going to Nobel Fish for at least 10 years. The quality has never changed the servers/sushi chefs are knowlegable and have been perfecting their craft for eons (one of the chefs worked in a sushi bar that I would go to circa 1984). The fish is always fresh, vegies fresh also and the tea is wonderful. My Favs would be the Michigan Roll.( don't know why they call it that for the ingredients are not indigenous to this state)- love the spicy tuna treatment/with the avacodo... read more

Best sushi in the area, by far! – My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time, but they are not open late. We went last Sunday and it was fantastic! The sushi was fresh and delicious and the service was very fast. Nothing fancy on the inside, but clean and friendly.

Best Sushi Around! – Noble Fish has the best, most authentic sushi in the Detroit area - possibly in all of Michigan. In fact, I've been all over the country, and Noble Fish rivals some of the best sushi bars I've been to on the West Coast. The grocery store is great too, and the whole experience really brings me back to my days in Japan. They sell Asahi and Sapporo beer, and even some of my "konbini" (Japanese convenience store) favorites such as soba sandwiches and unadon. This has been one of my weekly stops since I moved... read more

BEST sushi in SE michigan – good sushi is hard to come by here, i've tried nami (overrated, poor service, rude staff) and cafe sushi (delicious, but a little pricey) but noble fish is hands-down the best sushi in the area. it's a quaint atmosphere - the staff is very friendly and they serve extremely fresh fish with large portions. i'm sad i didn't discover this place earlier. for those who have tried yotsuba, saica, or miki's in ann arbor, i would definitely rate noble fish among the same class as these places, if not bette... read more

Best sushi, casual atmosphere, authentic japanese grocery and retail – The sushi is wonderful and moderately priced. Every piece of fish is remarkably fresh and succulent. It's best to plan for take-out, because the small seating area fills quickly. At noble fish, you will find an excellent selection of fresh, frozen and packaged groceries, including some rare treats - imported gobo (burdock) came in this week. It's a great little variety store. They offer some housewares and novelty items - ranging from teapots and dishes t... read more

Loves it – It's a grocery store with a little sushi bar in the back, you can buy fresh fish to shampoo and if you like to collect toys they have the coolest toys. The seating is small and packed in but it gives for a great experience and people don't sit long and chit-chat so you don't end up waiting forever. Order your food after you sit down if there's a wait for a table, or take it to go and it's just as good. They have prepackaged that you can buy that's also to die for. I recommend getting one of the drinks from the coo... read more
