I've gone to this store several times, and most of the time I was coming home dressed and made up. However, because I live in JSQ, sometimes I wear my sweats. It's during those times that the Indian-presenting woman seems to focus on me because I am black, which isn't an issue for me. Still, ironically, once I entered the store, she quickly ran to the storage room to get a larger Black woman. I found that to be straight out of a playbook—light skin vs. dark skin.
