I worked at Nixa Hardware for almost 20 years, 18 of which were great. Then they installed a new manager that is impressed with himself but is not a leader. A leader takes care of their people, by so doing the people will support the manager. I am a combat veteran, twice wounded and lifted from the battle site to the nearest hospital. Result PTSD. Best Garden Center & Stove Techs! They have the most beautiful flower and vegetable plants, and are cheaper than the big box store! Very unique store, been around in Nixa for over 120 years. They also have a good service tech team for pellet stoves. and best wood pellets I can find.
lacy701 I would like to know why there are no listings for all of the hardware stores: hours,and the days they are open !!!!!!!!!I found no such information at any of the huge amount of store listings.I would think this would be important to you as store owners.I thought that this was very strange,hope to see it in the future.Thanks
Can't Find it Elsewhere - Try Here A locally owned Hardware and Garden Center Nixa Hardware goes the extra mile for their customers when they need to. I have found things here that I have scoured Spfld and Ozark for. When I couldn't find it I asked if it could be ordered and in almost every case they did that. Outstanding!
The only place I could find my Walnut Picker Upper! Husband made the mistake of wanting to stop at Nixa Hardware one day. He thought I couldn't find anything in there to buy. He was wrong! It was walnut season and I'd been looking for one of those "squirrel cage" looking devices that you roll along and they pick up walnuts or golf balls. There it was all shiney a new... Husband came out $42. poorer and I was ecstatic.
4/8/2021 -- Very Poor Customer Service today. I live 40 miles away so have to make an effort to go to Nixa Hardware & Seed. In the past two years, I have been there a few times, and employees have been helpful and friendly. Not today! I stopped in to get lime pellets in the lawn & garden dept. At the counter I asked a very large bald man where the lime pellets were. He pointed to a pallet close to the counter and said, "right there."
