Dr. Mahidhara was my primary care doctor for years, and she was terrific! She asked me good questions, listened and was resourceful when she didn’t know the answer. I felt she genuinely cared about me and wanted to help. She went above and beyond to get me into see specialists when I needed them. I so appreciate Dr. Mahidhara!
Dr. Mahidhara, as stated in another review, was extremely rude and ridiculed me because of my weight. In which case I had just had a miscarriage and was pregnant just before seeing her. I went in due to chronic back pain and was looking for a primary. She insisted it was due to my weight even though I've had the injury for years and the pain was still there all the same, even when I was 170 lbs (I'm 5'7" and 22), I've always had this pain. I went in to request a bone density exam because I was having severe joint issues, I also mentioned a history of being on prednisone. She told me I was too young to need a bone density test but I insisted. She said she would schedule one but never did. A few months later I ended up going to an orthopedic doctor telling me my bones were decaying and I would need surgery requiring me to live in a wheelchair during recovery. I feel the severity of my condition could have been a better outcome if she had listened to me.
I will never go back to this doctor. I went there a year ago and I was only allowed to state 2 symptoms. In my appointment, she made me cry by ridiculing me for being overweight and I told her it was difficult to work out because of a back injury I was trying to fix. The office also billed me for a different type of visit that was not covered by my insurance so it ended up costing me almost $600, even though it should have been covered by insurance.
