I had 2 rotator cuff surgeries in one year with Dr. Shah and the OCR team. I loved how streamlined the whole process is. Both my shoulder's feel great after the surgery and PT. I would go to him for any shoulder treatment again (hopefully I don't have to :-) ). And I would also go to any OCR specialist for any orthopedic needs.
We have seen Dr. Shah a few times and he seems to generally care about my son's well being. He is a typical surgeon with a work load so he is all about business.
I judge MDs in three ways, 1) are they capable in medical practice, 2) are they well more well-read than I in my situation (hey, we all Google things these days and sometimes MDs don't keep up), and 3) do they communicate with me well (specially knowing that I Googled things). Dr. Shah was informative and attentive to my questions and concerns. He was also personable and made me feel comfortable with what I needed to do regarding my hip replacement.
