I took Metalsmithing 1 and it was a great intro course. This is a special studio, great community and instructors.
The vibes at Ninety Twenty are so great and supportive. Winona was a 10/10 teacher for my Lost Wax Casting 1 class. I look forward to taking more classes here 🪄
I absolutely loved Metalsmithing 1! It taught me so many basic yet crucial fundamental techniques that I’ll be able to use in any future class, wherever I end up going. As a visual learner, I really appreciated the step-by-step demonstrations—they were critical to my success. I highly recommend giving it a try. If the class seems expensive at first glance, it really isn't once you factor in the open studio access you get for practice and experimentation. I’ve taken several classes here now. Starting with a simple one off class for stacking rings to two back to back 6 week courses for metal smithing and lost wax casting. I have learned SO MUCH! And really enjoyed the studio space and the instructor Winona! There is so much freedom of expression you get with these classes which is the best part. I want to share how much fun I had in this class! This is my second six week class with amazing instructor Winona! We learned to sculpt with wax and the many unique tools for that process, learned to sprue and cast our small sculpts into fabulous jewelry using a technique that is thousands of years old! You have to experience it to feel the magic! I’m ending the class with four chunky rings that I’m proud of as my first pieces.
