I had a prostatectomy back in 2015 after my biopsy indicated my prostate was 22% cancerous. My Gleason score was 7 and Stage 1. My PSA remained undetectable for several months but then started to rise. It was 7.0 in September, now 27.1 in January. I am completed disheartened. I tried several supplements and always exercised regularly; however, I did consume a lot of sugar, which cancers feeds off of. I thought my struggle was over after surgery but looks like a new struggle begins.

Dr. Shah consulted with me about a positive prostate biopsy. He came to the meeting prepared and explained his conclusions with reference to data that was said to support those conclusions. I left the meeting admiring his thoroughness.

Dr. Shah was such a nice doctor. He came in with so much knowledge about my medical history. I was like how do you know that my dad died of pancreatic cancer? He said it was his job to know and he did not just want to walk into the room with knowing important things about me. I really appreciate him going the extra mile. He assured me that I didn't need to have any further test but it was my decision if I just wanted a piece of mind. I really felt great with my first visit.

Two issues in prostate surgery..remove the cancer and collateral damage during removal. I had the robotic surgery with Dr. Shah....ONE WEEK with a cath. then for 6 months NO leaks except under lifting stress . Sexual function was coming back within 3 months, fully back in 6 +/-! NO pain meds after surgery..4 years later PSA is undetectable = no prostate cells (non cancerous or cancerous) reman inside my body. Can't say Dr. Shah is the only doc who can do it right but he did it 1000% me.
