RecommendedI had a wonderful easy experience with the surgery - still a bit blurry butI go back in 3 weeks and things should be pretty clear by then. Dr. Stephen Neilson also did my eyes out 18 years ago with excellent results. The procedure was a breeze with no pain or discomfort after at all. I kept waiting but it was great. great experience from start to finish!!! i was in and out of there in about an hour and a half and was working the next day with no cheaters. then they sent me flowers.
4 weeks after having LASIK done I'm still not used to waking up and not having to reach for my glasses. I wish I had done it sooner, it's changed my life. Everyone at Nielsen were professional, knowledgeable and nice. Thank you.
Had my surgery a month ago and the jury is still out. I'm told I have 20/20 vision but some days everything is blurry - almost like I have a film over my eyes. Yes in the morning I can see my alarm clock and can read the school closing on the TV. Today I was able to walk down the beach and watch the ocean without trying to see while keeping my glasses clean! I go back in a couple weeks for a check up so I'm hoping things have improved by then.. My only other suggestion would be to have the technicians slow down and be more c... read more

I had an absolutely incredible experience getting my PRK surgery with Dr. Nielsen. I was both nervous and excited throughout the whole process.
