bad place if your latino – The place looked lively and me and my girlfriend wanted to go in. When we got to the door the bouncer gave us a undermining look and when we gave him our driver's license (the driver's license are from Puerto Rico which is american territory) he said in a rude tone that it was not a valid ID and that we needed a passport and another identifying document. This place rocks – I'm originally from Boston, so when i fist moved here, about two years ago, I was skeptical of the place. You see in Boston most Irish pubs are cold in the fact that if your not a regular they stare at you like you don't belong. When I walked into Nick's however, I felt very welcome and warm. Eat here, drink elsewhere – The food is good and they have daily specials that all rock. Nobody from the city hangs out here anymore, it turned into a tourist trap for invading west county kids.The drinks are a little pricy and they serve shots in a plastic cup. How do you do an Irish Car bomb if the cup floats on top of the guiness. Also they carge you individually for the 1/2 pint of guiness and the Jameson and Baileys, making it a 12 dollar shot. Perfect corner bar – Nick's is the perfect place to hang with friends. Whether you are sitting in the main bar, playing pool upstairs, or enjoying the weather on the pation outside, the atmosphere is perfect. I have been coming to Nick's for seven or eight years after trying the wings. Best wings around, with-out question.
Great Hangout – A great place to hang out with friends and meet new people.
Causal and Fun – I love Nick's. I first went there two years ago with some friends and fell in love with the place. The Happy Hour specials are a great deal! The game (baseball, hockey, or football) is always on so you can keep up with the home team. I don't feel like I have to get "dressed up" to enjoy a drink there with pals either.
