I’ve been to Nickel City twice now... the first time I brought my foster dog there, (whom i have since adopted) who really struggles with introductions and the staff was all around great! They saw the fear in my dogs eyes (who has had a not so easy start to life, living in multiple shelters) and were so kind to her, being patient and giving her time to warm up to them. I sent an email 2 days ago to schedule an appointment for my cat. They have not got back to me, I was hoping to get him in this week. It does not say to much about their business if they cannot call you to schedule/confirm the appointment you made online. I do rescue work and have my own pets. My friend recommended this vet hospital to me. Very disappointed.

I was very nervous about going to a new vet after having gone to the same vet for the last 10 years, however I had nothing to worry about. The staff was great, Dr. Pletscher was wonderful, and they special ordered my cat's Rx food for me. I scheduled my appointment on the earlier side, and only needed a routine check up so I could get my kitty's food from them, and we were in and out in less than an hour! I needed a new vet to recommend to my friends, looks like I've found one :)
I've been coming here for years and the staff have always been attentive and my cats have gotten the best, most compassionate care. Whenever someone asks me for a vet reference I recommend Nickel City Animal Hospital without hesitation or reservation.
