It's priced as if the stuff is brand new!! It's definitely not a money saver type store.

Brought in a car load including a new sewing machine still in the box, clothes, draperies,dishes Knickknacks etc. Went back daily for about a week. Never saw any of it in the store and never received a dime for any of it. Total rip-off!!

I have done business with Nice as New for many years. I do think it is one of the nicest resale shops in the area. However, when I see some of the thing in the store I question some of the selections. I wash and make sure all of my items are in top notch shape. Depending on who looks at them at the store some are turned down. Then I look through the store and can't believe some of the items I see for sale.Just questioning some of the rules I guess for taking items. But it is a nice store and I appreciate having it in Wausau.
I returned as a consignee after several years of being a very satisfied customer to find that the employees working intake are rude and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. When I asked for an explanation of why they wouldn't take a new garment with the tags still on, they said it looked "worn", when I asked how it could be "worn" when it still had the tags on I got a "look" from the two intake ladies and simply a "no". I love our store here in Wausau...lots of great items at low prices. Only giving 4 stars because I dislike that maternity and plus size are grouped together. These clothes do not fit the same way and it's annoying to have to dig through the plus size to find a few maternity pieces. Also, maternity dresses end up hanging with all the other dresses so again it was inconvenient to try and find clothes that fit right. They have a lot of stock for sure. However, when I browse the racks I constantly find wrong sizes mixed in. When clothes aren't hung in the correct size both the store and consignor lose money. When you bring items in it takes up to 1 month before they ever reach the sales floor. I'm going to donate my clothing and get a tax deduction. This store needs to shut down and stock all items stacked in the back before taking in any more items.

Thank you for your comments Karen. I have discussed this with our staff as we are always looking to make improvements. We do have alot of intake coming in and at times we get very backed up. We are trying to come up with a remedy that does not inconvenience our consignors by making them wait to bring in items, however it may be necessary to do another break in intake.
