The facility is very clean, did not have a smell! Residents in the common areas/nursing station were very pleasant and appeared well kept. Staff was friendly. We had a medication concern and the Director of Nursing and her assistant went above and beyond to address our concerns and even ordered labs to verify the medication was safe to take. I'm not impressed! I've never felt so abused and neglected in my life.
I went there on a tour. Looked like half the residents were all in the hall ways. The lady giving a tour when she found out my wife was on Medicare changed her tune. That they had some on a waiting list for more than 20 years. I still put my wife on waiting list. They called back to still see if I wanted her on waiting list. They transferred my call to her number. After 3 mins with no answering machine and just ringing. I called the receptionist and asked her to leave a message on her machine. WORST place to work. Always short staffed, no salary increase, overworked but no incentives. Unsafe place to work due to nurse patient ratio (40 patients), CNA patient ratio. The admin /management sees employees as robots, would always ask “how are you?” but don’t really care. Heartless DON. Please don’t apply here, run like the plague! Don’t wast your time and take care of your mental health. Karma will come and get those in position, one day your kids will theow you in a home care, hope you get the CARE YOU DESERVE!!!
A few years ago, it was great. Now, completely AWFUL!! Understaffed, poor care and extremely rude! They don't tell you the truth and it takes days to get anything worked out. My husband left with a deep bedsore that was not shared with me. Call button not monitored. A few patients know the elevator code and several tried to get on the elevator with me to get to the first floor. Caris Hospice is always there. Maybe they own it???
