I wouldn’t recommend this place for shipping fine art and here’s why. Insuring the item you want to send is waste of extra money at Newport Pack and Crate. They don’t by insurance from carrier so if carrier damage your original art you are screwed. They only have liability insurance witch your client check for damage while delivery man is standing there (which they won’t wait for client to open crate). Zero customer service skills. I gave the necessary information about my items to be shipped and was told, to put it simply, that I should call back when I have more information about my items. Then the agent proceeded to tell me in a condescending manner that he was swamped. This is for the establishment—Please mention on your website that you do not wish to do business and *accommodate* questions about how things will be handled. Do not recommend.

Following a death in the family, I had some very sentimental items to be shipped. My items arrived safely and undamaged. I do not live in California, so I trusted that I had chosen a good and reliable company. Luckily, I did :). I would recommend this company.
