2001 Chevy S10 Repair I want to thank Ronnie (Newman), Patrick and Tony for their outstanding service. I brought my 2001 Chevy S10 pickup in there about the middle of last week. When I got there with the AAA tow truck (W.T. Grant's), Ronnie immediately told me that I needed a new Serpentine belt. Tony was the mechanic who worked on my truck, and he immediately pointed out that the pulley had frozen up. These guys are good at what they do. great and honest people This shop is by far the best shop I've ever taken my car too. The last couple of months I have had multiple things go wrong with my car and they have bent over backwards to help me. one time they fixed a leaking pipe and they didn't even charge me for it.
Honest and Professional As far as my experience is concerned, I had AC work done by them, after a few months cold air was out, they checked it out and got it back in, didn't charge me. Another time, an AC part broke, honest as they were, they replaced it-no charge. On some minor adjustments or freon, they don't take advantage on the customers, instead, they did not charge to fill it in. Still waiting for this to be fixed, they cut corners and it shows I towed my car to Newman's after a recommendation. They looked at the car and let us know within 24 hours what was wrong and said they were "100% sure" that what they were going to do would fix the car. The next day we came to get the car, paid $350, and drove away. Within 1 block the car died twice, worse than it was before. We took it back and they just said they'd look at it again. BEST REPAIR SHOP BY FAR! Their customer waiting room is classic! They are obviously focused on your car or truck. Tucked away among the parts,old and new, is this crystal award for Best Repair Shop in Tallahassee...one of the voter awards for 2010 or something like that. Good car repair at a honest price Car repair can be scary for a woman but, after a recommendation from a co-worker I brought my car to Newman's Auto Air for repair. Both times they treated me courteously and fixed what was wrong at a fair and honest price. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs auto repair.
Good for AC issues, bad for anything else. My family has been using Newman's for our auto air maintenence and repair for years. The service is usually top notch, and they give us the best quote in town. So when my car broke down right around the corner from their shop, I thought nothing of having them look at it. Consistency seems to be a problem I've had them do a number of different things to our family vehicles without incident, until recently. They've replaced electric window motors, done complete brake jobs, fixed minor electrical problems, repaired the AC, and subbed-out some suspension issues to a reputable shop. Recently, we had an AC issue in a SUV -- front vents were blowing warm air, while the rear vents were blowing ice cold air (keep in mind that ALL of the cold air in an auto AC unit comes from one compressor). Good - Quick and Fair I have older cars due to the economy. In the last year I have had an air conditioner repaired, radiator replaced, power steering pump, a timing belt in my truck replaced and a few other mechanical items repaired repaired. All were done quickly and at a fair price. The radiator was $250 less than the closest competitors. One was a franchise oil selling place, the other was parts store that does installations.
