There are cracks in the floors the ceilings/walls are dingy and dusty. On the heart unit there are NO AC'S IN THE PATIENT'S ROOMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER
Attention to patient needs. To go over 2 1/2 hrs with very little interaction and information is not acceptable. Goal should be to get patients treated and released ASAP regardless of level of emergency.
Newark hospital is the worst hospital I have ever been to! not only did they do nothing to help me with my experiences there, but today when I was forced to send my boyfriend there to receive medical care they will not allow me to visit him. Even though I arrived before the ambulance. His step mother was allowed to visit him when she arrived later and I am still waiting. RecommendedBack in 2016 I walked out of the emergency dept. staff were so rude and not helpful,uncaring and acted like everyone was a drug attic. Now in 2019 I came in with severe pain and was treated immediately. Each staff I met was kind caring and went out of their way to make me comfortable. That was ER. For the hospital I am amazed at the care and want to make everyone comfortable. I had surgery at Newark wayne 2 years ago, it has come a long way compared to how it use to be, I was very satisfied with my care and how much cleaner the hospital was. I would and I have recommended Newark Wayne community hospital to other people!
The care my mother received as an ED, medical and cardiac floor patient was above exceptional. Thank you for making her stay comfortable. Your attention to her personal and medical needs was wonderful.
