There are better shops out there.... Located in downtown Taunton, theres ample on-street metered parking available. Bridal gowns are stored in a back room, so appointments are necessary. Dresses are beautiful, but pricey. Dont expect to pay less then $1000. While there are a good number of gowns to choose from, most are strapless. If youre looking for something with straps, this place is not for you. Sale staff is helpful, but a little pushy. Overall, I was not impressed. PROS: CONS: Expensive dresses, pushy sales staff

Don't let these reviews push you away!!! I had a great experience here recently. We worked with Cassie and she was excellent. I'm glad we had her as a consultant as she was extremely helpful. She was very patient and listened to everything I asked for. I had spoken with her on the phone previously and she even took the time to google this information. I BOUGHT A DRESS About a year ago I went into New York Lace and was greeted by Stephanie who was exceptionally helpful and assisted me in picking out a gorgeous wedding dress. But this is where the charm at NY Lace ends. All other consultants from this point on rushed me and did not care to hear what my questions were. Awesome place!!!!!! The staff is great- very attentive, professional,and honest! The prices vary, but overall pretty good. Parking can be tough. The best selection of all shops I have seen. The only reason I didn't get my dresses from here was the drive there. I was already stressed out and didn't want to deal with it.
Money Hungry Do not use this shop under any conditions for a wedding. Not only is it poor customer service, but the quality of dresses is awful. Two of the bridesmaids in our wedding party had dresses with broken zippers. The zipper tore in the middle after putting them on, and it was not because it was too tight. The store said you have to zip the dress a certain way or it will rip. The girls had to drive to another shop near the church to have it fixed. Would never recommend this place!! Overall this place was terrible. I have been to a few other bridal stores before coming here. First off, when we arrived I was approached by a staff member asking what I was looking for, when the wedding was, my budget..etc. Great I thought. Don't waste your time, energy, & money! For my October 2007 wedding I ordered my gown, my mothers gown, and my entire bridal party's gowns (15 dresses in all) from NY Lace. They were orginally very friendly and helpful. Once the orders were placed it was an entirely new story. First, they called to say my mothers gown had arrived. When we went to the store to see it, we realized they had never ordered the dress and tried to pass off the sample as a brand new gown. Very RUDE!! I had a similar bad experience with the store. I ordered a 3,000 dollar gown and needed no alterations other than length. I received a cal a few weeks later at work from a very RUDE owner saying that the dress had been let out and the trim didn't look right. Basically they did the wrong alterations on my dress and didn't believe me about it until I came to the store to show them how the dress now did not fit!!
