Chef Ramon & Micki Marrero are native New Yorkers from the Bronx.They moved to Columbia, Missouri 15 years ago. Missing the flavor of New York style sandwiches, they decidid to bring "A Taste of the City" here to Mid-Missouri. New York Deli was established in 2005. Excellent, everything I've tried: The Giants, The Rangers, The Jets, the Philly, chicken salad, grilled cheese (so good), chili, soup, cheesecake (raspberry is a delight), brownies, fresh-baked cookies.And can't forget the Italian Stallion! Plus A+ service. Five stars!!

This might have been the best Philly sandwich I've ever had. Added to that was the warm and friendly service; I will absolutely be back!

Just found this "Hidden Gem" in Columbia, MO! Ordered the Chicken Philly and Philly Cheesesteak for me and a coworker... FABULOUS! Our mouths had a happy party with a full-fledged flavor dance... The owner/employee was very polite and accommodating. My only "complaint" that really wasn't a problem for me was the wait... one man show, but doing a fabulous job. If you're in a hurry, don't be! It's WORTH the wait!
This place has some Delicious food � I'm so glad I finally tried it out! I'm definitely going to become a regular.
