Great new spot to donate. There's a paid parking garage nearby and paid meter onstreet parking (3 hours max, perfect for donating platelets). However, the subway is close as well.🩸

I’ve donated blood for over 15 years and deeply value the mission. In the past, I donated at the Port Authority and Grand Central locations while working in the city — both were consistently welcoming and appreciative. More recently, I’ve been going to the Nassau location, which is closer to where I live, and have had positive experiences there as well. Today I decided to visit this new location. The facility and stations are super clean and organized. However, drawing blood can be overwhelming and stressful for me. After checking in, a young female took my vitals and other information. I can feel her energy and demeanor was very cold, unwelcoming, and unprofessional based on her interaction and tone of voice. Like she did not want to work. Once the vitals process was done she instructed me to go to the other side, but I did not hear that she meant the first chair for the blood draw. She quickly walked up to me with ... read more
