I’ve donated blood for over 15 years and deeply value the mission. In the past, I donated at the Port Authority and Grand Central locations while working in the city — both were consistently welcoming and appreciative. The facility and stations are super clean and organized. However, drawing blood can be overwhelming and stressful for me. After checking in, a young female took my vitals and other information. I can feel her energy and demeanor was very cold, unwelcoming, and unprofessional based on her interaction and tone of voice. Like she did not want to work. Once the vitals process was done she instructed me to go to the other side, but I did not hear that she meant the first chair for the blood draw. She quickly walked up to me with ... read more
Staff is very friendly, places is clean and beautiful
Great location! So happy that there is now a blood center in Queens! It's very new. The interiors look clean. The chairs are comfy. The kitchen area is well stocked too! They have more variety than the UES one in terms of snacks The staff are the cherry on top of the experience. They are so nice!
I'm glad there's an NYBC location near me in Queens now! This facility is very clean and modern with comfy chairs. The staff is friendly and skilled. I didn't even feel the initial needle insertion for my platelet donation! They have a good selection of post-donation snacks and beverages. I'm glad I don't have to travel all the way to Manhattan now to donate.
