Went to the James Van Praagh event on 7/20/18. It was held in the banquet hall. Next door to the section we were in, there was an event going on and the noise that came through the walls was very distracting. Also, when leaving, it was dark at the time and there were no lights on outside the doors. It was extremely hard to see the steps. I asked people who worked for Skopelos if they could turn the lights on outside the doors and they were unable to do so. The ambience is quiet and reserved, not dull but nobody tried to reinvent the wheel. Food was very good and sort of the same philosophy, make it distinctly your own brand but don't get artsy just for the sake of being artsy. They have enough staff to play a World Series game and they're all good, smart, pleasant people who are well trained and care about the quality of their work. My sisters and I hosted my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary at Skopelos Ball room/banquet hall. The staff and night exceeded our expectations! It was a great night made better by a wonderful and attentive staff. I would definitely use them again for a future event!
