This place is a disgusting mess that abuses children. If you want your child to be subject to many horrible emotional experiences, go ahead and send them there. I suggest you search "New Haven RTC Voices" on Google. Or New Haven RTC abuse, or New Haven RTC lawsuit. This place still gives me nightmares 2 and a half years after leaving. New Haven is a scam and it’s not safe. If you can afford this- why not pay for a PhD licensed clinician who won’t abuse your kid and can give you evidence based family therapy? There are red flags and lots of abuse. Some are: The therapist offices are in the basements near some of the bedrooms and there are tons of red flags - not letting your kid communicate privately (phone calls are in / near common areas if not for therapy), won’t let your kid refuse medicine even if it has horrible side effects, and transferring guardi... read more

If a therapist has the ability to punish you, it isn't therapy. If you truly want what's best for your daughter, please find a better solution than Troubled Teen programs. All these places do is traumatize girls and take parents' money. If you are reading these reviews/ stories and still plan on sending your child to a program like this you are an abusive parent.

I had to come back around to share some resources for survivors of the teen treatment industry. Voices of new Haven is a survivor group active on instagram and Facebook. Seriously helpful to realize that so many survivors have experienced the same thing as I did.
